No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you’re welcome here.
Angleton First United Methodist Church is a community of imperfect people, imperfectly trying to follow Jesus. So regardless of your past church experiences (good or bad) or lack of church experience, we want you to know that you are welcome here. Visiting a new church can be intimidating but hopefully knowing a little of what to expect helps.
What to Expect
Sunday morning at First UMC is a casual atmosphere with a combination of music, prayer, and teaching right from the Bible. You’ll find yourself in a comfortable and welcoming environment. On the first Sunday of each month, we partake in communion together.
We offer two services Revive at 9:30 am and Traditions at 11:00 am. Our services last approximately 60-minutes. The teaching is authentic and relatable to daily life and comes directly from the bible.
Revive is our contemporary service and takes place in the Family Life Center. You will find music energizing music lead by our praise band, an uplifting children's message and a friendly group of people seeking to grow in their faith. (Children's Church is available for ages 4 through 4th grade if that fits your family's needs)
Traditions is our traditional service that takes place in the beautiful, stained-glass sanctuary. Music includes classic hymns lead by the choir, piano, and organ. You will be welcomed by warm inviting people.
Both Revive and Traditions receive the same biblical based sermon every week
